After months of studying hard, I finally finished my GCSEs exams and I have officially left school! Now all that's left is prom and results day!!
When my last exam ended, I decided to celebrate my last day by reading (how typical for an introvert) and I read this book filled with love poems by Lang Leav called Lullabies. These collections of poems have inspired me to write (more like attempt) my own poem!
I/HE
I intertwine my
Fingers with his;
I hold them
Tightly as we kiss;
I look him
In the eye;
I see the
Stars in the sky;
He only sees through
Me, like glass;
...
I am like
The wind against
His fingers;
I am like
The sweat on
His skin;
I am like
The smoke from
His cigarette;
He inhales and
Exhales
My love.

This is my first attempt at writing a poem like this, so I hope you like it!
It's supposed to imply unrequited love and the feeling of being used or neglected in a relationship (and if you're wondering, it's not inspired by anyone because I've never been on a relationship lol)
Let me know what you think!

p.s. Sorry if this post was late! I was having problems with my computer and I had to reset it :c but don't worry because I'm back!

I'm not very familiar with the term GCEs, so could you please explain to me what that is? Also, I love the poem <3

GCSEs are qualifications you take when you're in Years 10 and 11 (ages 15-16). For these, you choose to study 4 subjects of your choice along with compulsory subjects (usually it's Maths, Science and English but I guess it depends on your school) and you study these 9 (or more) subjects for 2 years. After that, you take exams on all those subjects and your results determine whether you move on to A-Levels qualifications. They're very important when applying for University or a professional job as most employers would look at your GCSE grades! I hope this helps :D
